Tuesday, October 13th - Fire Drill - 9:00
We will practice fire drills and Tornado drills in two waves. This will eliminate classes crossing in the hallway. (See chart below). Students should exit the classroom (6 feet apart), proceed to your classroom’s designated safe zone, and continue social distancing until you are released to re-enter the building. In the event of a real fire or tornado, social distancing may not be practical and would not apply. However, when in the Safe Zone, social distancing measures would be followed. Drills will be in the mornings and announced. Wave 2 teachers, you will want to prepare your students to not go out in the hall when the first wave is announced. BUT, please explain that in the event of a real fire or tornado, there will be no announcement, the alarm will sound and they should exit the building (fire) or go to their classroom safe space (tornado).
(There will be no scheduled drills during special class times, but specials teachers should discuss the safety procedures and do a drill with your classes to demonstrate where they would go in the event of an emergency.)

Classroom Days
I will be coming into classrooms once a month for lessons. The days will be posted on the living calendar. I'll send out a sign up sheet to claim your time for November. I will keep the same times for the rest of the year. If you need to switch, look at the schedule and talk to the teacher you need to switch with (and let me know if you switch times).
