Rapid Co-vid Testing
Family Health Care has provided Trica Jackson, our nurse practitioner, with 25 COVID rapid tests. Tricia can perform these tests with an appointment. Her cell number is 859 983 3461. Tricia is requesting the individual call her to set up an appointment so she can meet them outside to perform the tests. Tricia can test both students and staff.I have added a place on the lesson plans doc that is linked on the lesson plans tab on the blog if you would like to link your seating charts on there. This will allow both you and I to access them if we are away from school. If you change your seating chart, please give me 2 copies of the new chart(s).
Preparing for the Future...
Here's what's been approved in the legislature that led to our discussion during PLC team meetings this week...
(SB1) Allows superintendents, with authorization from the school board, to temporarily assign students at the school, grade, classroom, or student group level to remote instruction. Remote instruction can be no longer than is necessary to alleviate student absences due to COVID-19 and may not last more than 20 days. Remote instruction will not be counted against student attendance days.
ICYMI (In Case You Missed It). In PLCs, we discussed the beginnings of our plans to be prepared for Remote Instruction in the event a class, grade level, or (heaven forbid) our school had to be assigned to remote instruction. Our first step in this preparation is to have our Remote Instruction Class Schedule ready to go. Therefore, I have asked everyone to develop a draft of your Remote Instruction Schedule and turn in a HARD COPY to me by Wednesday, September 15th. I will either approve it and let you know it's fine, or give you feedback on anything that needs to be changed. You will receive approval or feedback by Monday, September 20th.
Schoolwide Fundraiser
On Monday, you will receive materials for our School Store Fundraiser. This is an incredibly low-maintenance fundraiser. Students receive an envelope with directions about 5 emails to send. They get a code and put the code on the envelope.
You show the video (Paula will let you know how to access this) and hype students up about bringing the envelope back with the code on it. When they bring back the envelope, send the students to Regina and she will give them the huggie or the Fitness band. Anyone who brings back the envelope by Friday will be in a drawing for a drone.
