Hello everyone! As you know by now, Liz tested positive for Covid. She isn't feeling too well today, so keep her in your prayers. Nothing as serious as a hospital visit, but feeling yucky from the virus. I am quarantined at home, but still available! If you need anything, please don't hesitate to ask.
I am working on video lessons for self-regulation and the zones of regulation. I put a link on my counseling google site to a screencastify I made. If you just want to share the link with your students it is HERE. Look for a video coming soon about self regulation strategies. I was "waiting" for us to come back in person before plugging away at SEL. But it's unclear when, if, or for how long we will be in person this year. So I just want to thank you all for keeping social and emotional health at the forefront of how we do business here at Paint Lick Elementary. I'm sure you've heard by now that GC tragically lost a middle school student last week. While it's still unclear what happened, the tragedy serves as a reminder that all of our students are experiencing emotions. Sometimes it only takes one caring adult to help them through a tough situation. Being virtual brings additional challenges to identifying needs. Please don't hesitate to let me know if you have students that would benefit from meeting with me. I am responding to students through my google check-in form, so please continue to encourage them to utilize that tool.
